Axalta Women of High Impact Program Recognized for the Impact it’s Making on Driving Both Successful Career and Personal Life Development
MEXICO CITY, Oct. 25, 2019 - Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, was recognized by the Women Economic Forum (WEF) for its commitment to the individual and professional development of its employees, by promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Axalta received this recognition at the WEF Summit held in Mexico City.
The ‘Axalta Women of High Impact’ program, which was introduced earlier this year, was highlighted for the impact it’s made on Axalta employees by offering tools and perspectives on driving both successful careers and personal lives. The program included workshops, conferences and integration activities, in which both women and men have actively participated.
“One of our missions is for women to find a leadership role in politics, at work and in all aspects of their lives. When we are empowered, we create networks that work to promote an inclusive and equal society,” said Michelle Ferrari, General Director for the Women Economic Forum in Mexico.
Daniel Salcido, president of Axalta Mexico, received the award “Leaders of the Decade for Innovation and Leadership” for his commitment to promote programs that encourage equity and diversity, such as “Axalta Women of High Impact.”
“I am thankful to the Women Economic Forum for believing in Axalta’s work,” said Salcido. “The main tenants of our Axalta Women of High Impact program are leadership, life balance, personal skills and mentoring, and it offers a terrific opportunity to broaden support networks. We see it really making an impact in fostering initiatives and programs that promote and inspire employees at Axalta. We are so proud of the program and honored to have been recognized by the Women Economic Forum.”
The program was also recognized in the category “Exceptional Women of Excellence”, for its efforts to empower Axalta’s women and their talent. Karen Perez, Corporate Affairs Manager for Axalta Latin America, received the award as a member of the Program Committee, composed by a diverse group of 15 women from different areas and responsibilities, such as Operations, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Human Resources and Sales.
