Agreement is Axalta’s Fourth in Korea Aimed at Developing the Country’s Youth for the Automotive Industry

Seoul, Korea – November 27, 2019: Axalta (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, and Korea Polytechnics Hwasung Campus have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to offer automotive refinish coating education for young talent in Korea. This is the fourth collaboration program between Axalta and an educational organization in Korea that aims to train young people for the automotive industry.

Tae-hwa Hong, managing director of Axalta Coating Systems Korea, said, “Training skilled workers is critical to the long-term growth of Korea’s automotive sector. We are pleased to be associated with Korea Polytechnics Hwasung Campus to provide joint training and educational programs to students through our STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs.
